1. SwipeBin can't see my photos
SwipeBin needs access to your photos and videos to work. Nothing ever leaves your phone.
- iPhone: Settings → Apps → SwipeBin → Photos → choose Full Access. If you picked "Limited Access", SwipeBin shows only the items you selected. You can change your selection there at any time.
- Android: Settings → Apps → SwipeBin → Permissions → Photos and videos → Allow.
2. Where do deleted photos go?
iPhone: to the Recently Deleted album in Photos, where they stay for about 30 days. You can recover them from there. If iCloud Photos is on, deleting also removes the item from iCloud and your other Apple devices.
Android: they are removed from your phone's storage through the system prompt you approved.
SwipeBin itself can't restore an item after you confirm a deletion.
3. My storage didn't go down
On iPhone, space is only returned once Recently Deleted is emptied (Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted → Select → Delete All), or after the 30 days are up. SwipeBin's results screen tells you when this applies.
If iCloud Photos is on with "Optimise iPhone Storage", some items exist mostly in iCloud and use very little space on the phone. SwipeBin lists those separately and does not count them as space freed on your device.
4. I've run out of swipes
The free version gives you 100 swipes a day. They come back once a day at 00:00 UTC, and the app shows the exact time in your time zone. Undoing a swipe gives it back.
You can always review and delete what you've already marked, even with no swipes left. SwipeBin Pro removes the daily limit with a once-off purchase.
5. Pro and restoring a purchase
Pro is a once-off purchase through the App Store or Google Play. On a new phone, sign in to the same store account and tap Restore a previous purchase on the Pro screen in SwipeBin.
Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (Google Play → Order history). If something went wrong, email us too and we'll help.
6. Signing in on another phone
If you added an email to your account, open SwipeBin on the new phone, go to the account screen, choose Sign in and enter your email. We'll send you a one-time code to type into the app. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
7. Deleting your data
On your phone: uninstalling SwipeBin removes everything it stored on the device.
On our servers: email privacy@sweepbin.app and ask us to delete your account. If you added an email, send the request from that address so we can find your account. We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days at most. The server only ever holds counts and totals (never your photos). See the Privacy Policy.
8. Reporting a problem
Email support@sweepbin.app and include, if you can:
- your phone model and iOS or Android version;
- what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead; and
- a screenshot of the SwipeBin screen, if it helps. Please don't send us your photos. We never need them.
